Garden Patch Bread

1/2  cup water
1/2  cup coarsely shredded carrots
1/3  cup tomato juice
2  tablespoons coarsely chopped green sweet pepper
2  tablespoons sliced green onion
1  tablespoon margarine, butter, or cooking oil
3  cups bread flour
1  teaspoon sugar
3/4  teaspoon salt
1/4  teaspoon dried basil, crushed
1  teaspoon active dry yeast or bread machine yeast

Add the ingredients to a 1-1/2- or 2-pound bread
machine according to the
manufacturer's directions. Select the basic white
bread cycle and desired
color setting. Makes one 1-1/2-pound loaf (20
servings).
