German Potato Salad
Boil as many potatoes as you like. Let cool . Take the skins off and
slice into a big bowl. Fry eight slices of bacon, let drain. In pan with
bacon grease, add 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/4 cup water. To this add 1 teaspoon
sugar, a little salt to taste. Add bacon ingredients to potatoes, along
with a half a cup of finely chopped celery, and half a cup of chopped
onions . Add salt and pepper and seasoning salt to taste. This is always
served warm. If not, I think it loses something.
For Lori R in Topeka, I found this snack mix last year, and it has
become a big hit. I needed something to give to my co-workers at
Christmas.
