SYMPTOMS OF STROKE

Sometimes symptoms of stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately
this lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer
severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of
stroke.

Doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple
questions.

STR

Ask the individual to SMILE

Ask the individual TALK; speak a simple sentence coherently

Ask the individual to RAISE BOTH ARMS

If the individual has difficulty with any of these tasks, call 911
immediately and describe the

symptoms. Another indication of stroke is to ask the individual to
stick out their

tongue, if the tongue is crooked or falls to one side or the other this
may indicate

the individual has had a stroke A cardiologist says that if everyone
who gets this

email, sends it to 10 people; you can be sure that at least one life
will be saved.

A single candle can illuminate an entire room. A true friend lights up
an entire lifetime. Thanks for the bright lights of your friendship.
