4 med. Fresh tomatoes or 2 (16 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes ΒΌ c. Bacon grease 1 to 2 tbsp. Flour or enough to thicken Dash of black pepper Heat bacon grease over medium heat until hot. Add flour, stirring constantly until lightly browned. Add tomatoes and pepper and let come to a boil. Cover and let set for about 5 minutes.
