Quick Rolls Ingredients: 6 tbsp. shortening 1/2 cup boiling water 1/4 cup sugar 1 egg 1 pkg. yeast 1 tsp. sugar 1/2 cup warm water 3 cups flour Directions: Heat oven to 450º F. (225º C). Mix 1 pkg. yeast, 1 tsp. sugar in 1/2 cup warm water. Pour boiling water over shortening. Add 1/4 cup sugar. Let cool. Add beaten egg and yeast. Stir in 3 cups flour. Knead until smooth. Make into rolls. Let rise 1 hour or until double in size. Bake in greased pan at 450º F. about 20 minutes. Makes 12 rolls.
