I hope they can give you a new one. what a mess! It almost seems like nothing any more is made to last a long time; this disposable society, throw it out and get another. Mom's room mate is having trouble with the converter box. for some unknown reason, it drifts off of channels, and she said today that there is a thing that comes up on the screen about the box turning off after four hours, and it does. each day if she has it on for four hours, the warning that the box has been on for four hours comes up and then it shuts down, leaving your tv blaring away with a loud hissing noise unless you are there to turn it right back on again!
