BLACKBERRY CAKE
   2 cups sugar
   1 cup butter
   4 eggs
   1 teaspoon baking soda
   1 teaspoon baking powder
   3 1/2 cups cake flour
   3 teaspoons cinnamon
   3 teaspoons allspice
   1 teaspoon nutmeg
   1 cup buttermilk
   1 1/2 cups blackberry jam or preserves
   Thoroughly
 cream sugar, butter and eggs. Sift all dry ingredients together 3 times. Add 
alternately
with buttermilk to creamed mixture. Add jam and mix thoroughly. Pour batter into
2-4 greased and floured layer pans. Bake at 350 degrees 20-25 minutes. Put 
together
with your favorite vanilla icing.  Enjoy.
