Hi, Lora, Yep, if only a cup, I'd throw it out; if I lived there, I'd go to
Aldi's market and get you even 2 more jars if you'd only ditch that other cup
of jelly! not worth the trauma, or possible death! Yes, this is a wonderful
group of friendly, caring friends.

  Thanks, Sandy.
I know what you mean. It is only a cup of jelly and I guess I can buy
another jar for a couple dollars but definitely can't buy a new life! Wow!
That is a sad story about the lady dying from the ham. Wow! Thanks to you and
all the others for sharing in this group and for Delma and Steve for allowing
us to share. San Jan, and others are in another group with me and every time
we get into an interesting and helpful discussion about things that can help
blind people and just people in general, the moderator slams at us to get back
on subject and reminds us that it is a cooking group.
That is why we are Recipes And More, right, Delma and Steve?
  Lora

Lora! If for one minute you think there could be a piece of glass or shards
of it in the jelly, pleeeeeezzzzzzzzeeeeee! throw! it! out! It, the results,
could be fatal! When Dale, my husband was doing medical transcription, he typed
a sad case; it was around the holidays, the cook had dropped the platter with
the ham, and rinsed off the ham, cleaned up the mess from the broken platter,
and thought! it was safe!! to eat the ham! wrong! I mean! It was rinsed off,
no! glass on! or in! it! right? wrong!!
she was the only one home at the time, and decided to eat some of that
ham. guess other family members knew of her fiasco, and later, did not! consume
it; anyway the cook died, shards of it punctured some of her organs, liver,
etc.! what a tragedy! when in doubt, throw it out! pleeze! better safe than
sorry! I know meat is expensive, but you are not! a! cat! with 9 lives. you can
always get more, but not a new life!
    Sandy

I just broke a jar yesterday. it had about a cup of raspberry jelly in
it. I am a little afraid there could be a piece of glass in it so I will be
very careful when I dip it out. I may only use it for me because I have to be
so careful what I give to George. I always wipe on the floor with a damp paper
towel and then it will pick up little pieces of glass if there are any. That
hurts when it gets in your feet.

        Sharp Edges

Remove the entire lid when opening a metal can, then put lid inside the
empty can before disposing of it. Never put broken glass in your plastic
kitchen
garbage. Serious cuts on your legs can be avoided by wrapping glass in
paper bags and dispose directly in the outside garbage can.

A single candle can illuminate an entire room. A true friend lights up
an entire lifetime. Thanks for the bright lights of your friendship.
