BITTERSWEET CHOCOLATE FUDGE 1 cup sugar 2 bars bitter (unsweetened) chocolate 1/4 cup butter 2 cups sifted powdered sugar 1/4 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 tablespoon light corn syrup 1/2 cup nuts 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup milk 1 tablespoon light corn syrup Mix sugar in saucepan, double boiler is best. Add when hot 2 bars bitter baking chocolate and butter. Bring to boil. Boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add immediately 2 cups sifted powered sugar. Use more if needed. Add milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 cup nuts, and corn syrup. Stir until sugar is completely blended. Turn into 8-inch square pan and pat flat with fingers. Cool, and cut into squares when cooled.
