Louisiana  Style Green Beans  
1 tablespoon bacon drippings 
1 lb. green beans, trimmed or 2 cans,  drained
1 large onion, peeled and chopped 
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced  
1 can (10 oz.) diced tomatoes & green chilies (mild or hot)
2  teaspoons basil 
juice of 1/2 fresh lemon 
In a large skillet, saute beans, onion and garlic in hot oil until beans  
are tender-crisp. Stir in tomato's and basil. Simmer uncovered for 
10  minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with lemon  juice.
