Sequoia Orange Biscuits

2 c. flour
1 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
Finely grated rind of 1 medium-size orange
3 tbsp butter, softened
Juice of 1 orange
1/2 c. sour cream

Preheat oven to dg400.

Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Add orange rind.

With pastry blender, cut butter into dry ingredients. Add orange
juice and sour cream. Blend lightly.

Turn onto lightly floured surface and roll out to 3/4-inch thickness.

Use a 2-inch cutter to make 12-16 rounds. Arrange onto nonstick
baking sheets leaving 2 inches between rounds.

Bake on center rack of preheated oven 8 minutes, or until biscuits
have risen about 1/2 inch and tops are lightly browned.

Cool. Serve hot/warm or otherwise.
