Rub salt, pepper, and allspice into steak. Sprinkle flour over steak. Heat shortening in a heavy casserole Brown meat on both sides. Add onions and tomatoes. Cover and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Check occasionally for moisture. If necessary, add a little hot water to prevent sticking. Serve with rice or noodles, I like mine with mashed potatoes. Makes about 6 servings. -- Access the Recipes And More list archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/recipesandmore%40googlegroups.com/ Visit the group home page at: http://groups.google.com/group/RecipesAndMore
