Tiger Alert Editorial :
With the death of Buddhist scholar and husband of Aung San
Suu Kyi last weekend, the Olympic boycott took on a stronger
potential. BBC World Service are to programe a few bits and
pieces and the sports media are just beginning to wake up.
TIBET in solidarity with the Tiger Alert?
Hello,
We are very sorry to hear about the Micheal Aris, the husband
of Ang San Suu Kyi death last Saturday. Here we have performed

Yuh gotta be really dumb not to read the TIGER ALERT
Sport's Numero Uno Spiritually Correct Email magazine
Tiger Alert : Arming the People
Edited in London by Olive North and Little Red Riding Hood
"Dalai Lama, long hitter." "Stiff fingered me for the caddie fee."
(from the movie Caddy Shack)
Well, we faxed HH and asked him if he wanted to support an
Olympic 2000 boycott upon Burma
And we are now sitting cross legged and awaiting "news from
the Universe."
HH once answered a question of mine twice. I sent a question
on the "way of the bodhisattva" to him at the Albert Hall in London.
First time he was halfway through when someone rushed up onto
the stage, (where I had myself performed as a jazz musician many
years previously) and flung themselves to the ground in front of
him..
Up on the tripled leveled podium amongst security and the long
robed lamas, chaos reigned for a while, and then HH insisted that
the question was read out and answered again. As the question
related to what I was doing to confront the Soka Gakkai International
(not under his jurisdiction.) in the UK, I was both pleased and
encouraged. ;-) DL? Nice dude
Of course, on behalf of the "team" . Our fax also wished him well
in his own nations struggle with the most horrible "natures" of
Chinese oppression
==============
Tons to catch up on guys, and the sight of Robbie Fowler of
L/pool attempting to snort the white line of the Evertonian
goalmouth hardly cuts the "role model" surface.
But as we will be able to watch the Masters on terrestial tv (I am told).
The Alert will soon be able to focus on such stars as Flado, Clonin
and the short but upandcoming Elvis Von Phillips. So, Let's "clear
the decks".
Anyone remember the time the Augusta po-lice busted The Masters?
Nicklaus, the old right winger said. "You couldn't see the flag for
all the clouds of cocaine drifting across the fairway."
(Those were the exclusively black caddy dayz huh? )
One guesses they were being thrown away by the "highly
stoned and suspected." ;-)

"Hey, Germaine!". (We hadn't met since the old days of
hippyland.. The Portobelo Road of the sixties.)
The ancient wood paneled room of the Palace of Westminster
was host to the All Around sound of native Australia's music of
welcome when Gnarayarrahe Inmurry Waitairie and his
companion Ponjydfyidu (Una Branfield) gave us welcome in this
place wherein so many protests have been ignored by the
parliamentarians of this neocolonialist nation.
At the table Les Malezer, Jeff Clark and author activista Professor
Germaine Greer spoke with both sadness and authority on the
subject of Australian apartheid. Listening to these appeals for
action were MP Jeremy Corbyn, man used to standing outside High Commissions,
and with him a number of representatives from non
governmental organizations, press agencies, the BBC and Amnesty International.
As a fan of native Aus music, and having made a valiant attempt
way back in the early seventies to duet with Aus's "primary star"
of the instrument, the ever TV popular Rolf Harris, (not a great
ambassador of his nation.) it was great both to hear the Real Thing
at last and to meet Germaine again. With whom I had not met since
the "days of the hippies" of Portobello Road.
But Mihra was there to introduce the option of the Olympic boycott
and to listen to reaction. .
And as Mihra is coordinating the first stages of the Burma Out!
boycott, (or to some, the "BOO campaign") it also understands
the problem of alienating the international community of sports
fanz, (and journalistas) by a total disruption of the games itself.
The resolution of which seemed to be that there will be no call
for an Olympic boycott by native Australia. Instead there will be
protest which includes that the Olympic flame being lit by a
prominent native Australian. And a return to live TV coverage
and the "fist in the air" by some competing athletes.
As I am sure those that read the Alert already know the overall
case for a change in the Australian Constitution to give native
Australians a long overdue Treaty of Rights. And also know of
Germaine's statement that as an honory aboriginal she will never
return to Australia until she can live on aboriginal land.
The defiance of Australia? "In the disaster that is Australia,
Aborigals will be used for color at Sydney 2000."
Greer to stay in exile.
By SIMON MANN
Australia's feminist icon Germaine Greer yesterday
vowed not to return to Australia until the Federal
Government negotiated a treaty with Aborigines that
sought to put right past injustices.
She also made a plea to the world's black athletes to
use the Sydney Olympics for some ``expression of
solidarity'' with indigenous Australians, similar to the
controversial black power salutes that characterised
the Mexico Games 30 years ago.
Speaking at a public meeting at Westminster - where
she added her voice to calls from Aboriginal groups
for Britain to support a treaty - Dr Greer said the
raised black-gloved fists of medal-winning Americans
at Mexico had galvanised world opinion. She said
Sydney 2000 provided Aborigines with their best
opportunity to raise international awareness of their
plight.
Dr Greer added that she was ashamed to have been
born in Australia and ashamed of the ``triumphalist
line that is Australian history''. ``That's how stupid
our history is,'' she said, and until this was set right
through reconciliation she would stay away.
``I consider myself as much in exile as those who
escaped South Africa during apartheid,'' she said.

Want to do something? Do it Now.
The Tiger Alert has been highly critical of "the war on drugs"
in the past. It sees no reason, apart from a cessation of state
treason on the subject, not so to continue.

Burma is the world's second largest producer of heroin. Western
intelligence services confrim that all Burmese heroin goes to North
America.
And if there is a willingness for those engaged in official
"war on drug" policies to listen to the people. Then these
authorities, should realise that these wishes include ending
the sanitisation of our societies by the use of corporate aligned
sports, and that this especially concerns such events as this
already compromised Olympiad.
Instead the N American anti drug authorities grant themselves
Special Powers far beyond that which Constitutions allow.
Want the whole sickening report? All you have to do is ask.
