* Respond to the needs of the Koori community.
* Promote education, employment or training opportunities.
* Advise Council on Koori issues.
* Assist in planning and organising NAIDOC Week activities.
* Give Koori people a voice in Local Government.
* Promote awareness and respect for Koori culture and heritage.
