Move to restrict aboriginal protest

The Adelaide City Council hopes to persuade aboriginal protestors outside Government House, to pack up each night.

The group is protesting against mining at Olympic Dam, but some members have come under fire for their behavior.

Last night, the council voted to take action, and Chief Executive Officer, Jude Munro, says she's confident a compromise can be found.

"The lord Mayor will be leading a negotiating team with the leaders of the protest group to see whether or not we can achieve the outcome we are wanting to achieve which is a daytime only protest."

"And for people to pack up at the end of the day and move on home, or move to other accommodation options."
