 Proclamation Day celebrations
 From AAP

2.50pm (AEDT) ABORIGINAL protesters today disrupted
 Proclamation Day ceremonies in Adelaide.

Lake Eyre Aborigine Kevin Buzzacott, who has been leading a
protest outside Adelaide's government house for nearly a
fortnight, was among a small group who presented SA governor
Sir Eric Neal with a statement of claim over the land of South
 Australia.

Mr Buzzacott draped an Aboriginal flag over the old gum tree at
Glenelg, the site where the colony of South Australia was
 proclaimed 163 years ago.

The group then handed over the statement of claim to the
governor before embracing under another Aboriginal flag.

Sir Eric shook hands and spoke briefly with members of the
 group.
