The Indigenous Social Justice Association (ISJA) has a position vacant for an Aboriginal Family Support Worker (part-time, 28 hours per week).

SACS Award category 2.

The aim of the position is to provide a family support service to Aboriginal families with the aim of preventing family breakdown and to improve parenting and family skills.

Essential:

Aboriginality

Knowledge of issues surrounding ATSI families

Demonstrated knowledge or skills in similar disciplines

Good communication/organizational skills

Very computer literate

Own car (travel allowance as per SACS Award is provided)

Highly regarded:

Knowledge of the Mount Druitt/Bidwell area and community organizations within

Tertiary qualifications or willingness to obtain

Aboriginality is a genuine requirement under Section 14D of the Anti Discrimination Act, 1977
