SMH - Letters page The real thing Now that all the kerfuffle over New Year's Eve is starting to die down, may I take this opportunity to invite the people of Australia to celebrate with us Kooris (Aborigines) our 41stmillennium (give or take afew thousand) on January 1, 2001. There were a few who bunged on a bit of a blue to hold it this year, but even the most stubborn finally came to the realisation that no matter how you did your sums, 40,000 did not add up to 40,001. Anyway, on December 31, 2000, we'll probably chuck a barbie, have a bit of singalong and let off a few crackers.
