Lost relative found at stolen generation rally

Australian Democrats Senator Aden Ridgeway discovered a cousin amongst a
rally of stolen generation Aborigines
outside Parliament House.

Valerie Wemberg, of Liverpool, Sydney, tearfully embraced the Aboriginal
senator when a conversation about
relatives revealed the family link.

"I knew I had family up north but I had no idea we'd be cousins," Ms
Wemberg said.

More than 60 members of the stolen generation and their supporters
joined in the emotional rally to protest the
government's denial that a generation of indigenous children had been
stolen.
