I am reposting the details of the meeting place and time for those who missed it the first time... Recoznet2 will be joining the Journey of Healing for the walk across the Harbour Bridge. "If you would like to join us, we will meet at McDonald's on the Pacific Highway near the North Sydney train station at 9.45am, intending to set off across the Bridge at 10.30am. Look for the Journey of Healing posters. Train travel will be free that day, so we recommend that those who can come by train. Special provision is being made for disabled people, and our group will include people in wheelchairs. Please bring your own banners." I will have a banner with Recoznet2 on it so keep an eye out for that. Unfortunately it is a small (2' x 2') banner but positioned fairly high so keep a really good eye out for it! ;-) I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible. I received a message that urges people to go to the meeting places in North Sydney much earlier than their posted meeting time. The pressure on public transport will be tremendous and this could mean that many people will get to their meeting place late. The bridge will be reopened at 12 noon and there is no flexibility about this so anyone who is held up in the demand for public transport stands the chance of not being able to walk the bridge. Also, the police will be very inflexible about allowing anyone to walk back over the bridge - even the marshalls and coordinators - the walk will be in one direction only. If there is some way that groups can meet and leave earlier it would also take a lot of pressure on beating the deadline. There is some concern from the organisers that a meeting time of 10 or 10:30 am is later than optimal.
