ABC News Mon, 3 Jul 2000 10:16 CST LOCAL NEWS : SA Gulf Cities Reconciliation concert for Port Augusta area The Australian Chamber Orchestra will perform a free reconciliation concert at the Davenport community near Port Augusta on 28 July. Port Augusta arts officer Nina O'brien says securing the world renowned performance group is a great coup for the community, and will bring together the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal populations. She says the ACO will perform at the Davenport Community Hall and all residents of Port Augusta are encouraged to attend. "Most of the non-indigenous population don't have a real reason to go out to the ABoriginal settlement so this is a great opportunity for them to do so and have a look around its right on our doorstep in Port Augusta."
