The young man was Indigenous and the planned NAIDOC Celebrations were instead a memory to a oyung man much respected by his mates. AS I write this, I am not sure what an appropriate response to the situation is. As an Indigenous person I feel shock, anger but a sense that this guy is now reunited with his ancesters - and that he is now free from the pain and destruction that he would have faced to be in prison.
