Rod and I will be gone for the weekend (bus trip to Tilba Tilba,
courtesy of my mum) so if there are any problems, please keep them til
Monday. :-)
Please be as courteous to each other as you wish others to be to you and
if you want to blast someone else, feel free, so long as you delete
before you send.
Last time we managed to get a few days away all hell broke lose and, it
seems, it could happen again this time.
A question comes to mind - how many of us were born with the views we
hold today? Were they set in concrete when we were born? Or did we form
them over time through discussion with others, observation, education
and evaluation? How many of us haven't changed our minds about
particular things when we gathered more information and realised we held
a view that was no longer valid?
If the latter is true, then it stands to reason that many people are at
different levels of understanding and forming opinions. If they are
willing to listen and learn and discuss, and they are courteous about
it, then expressing our understanding of the issues can only help all
concerned.
We should welcome anyone who joins and has something to contribute or
genuinely wants to learn through discussion. The starting point doesn't
matter.
