This type of overt racism is hard to believe until you see what mainstream
journalists are writing in the dailies.
In this morning's Courier Mail national political editor Peter Charlton,
along with highlighting the point that Cathy Freeman had not won an Olympic
gold medal, but was chosen to light the flame,bemoaned the fact that
lifesavers and the Australian military forces were not represented at the
opening ceremony.
Now, the olympics are supposed to be about all that wars are not
about----people coming together peacefully to compete in a friendly
atmosphere.
How would the Germans, Japanese, Turks, etc feel if they were confronted
with their old enemies of the battlefield being paraded before them at an
the Australian Olympic opening ceremony? How welcome would they feel?
No, it's not hard to see why so many of us ( a majority? ) are such
ignorant, racist, jingoistic, nationalistic scumbags.
