(Please note) If this is a dialogue with me i will appreciate it if you corresponded
to me to my e-address. I do not want to impose on other list users
How to translate the popular will into political will??
Democracies do not exist in reality as well as sovereignty and self determination.
They only exist in some dreamers minds & hearts that are struggling for their
existence
Please do not confuse the intentionally systematic institutionalised powerful
elimination of aboriginal people (genocide) with the internalized corruption into some
sectors as in any other sectors
As a survivor of genocide myself i feel insulted at the lightening of your comparisons
Please understand clearly what genocide is .....
Do not confuse as well he concept of "pay back" with rent debate. I do not find ironic
the rent debate, the rent that you refer to is a white system imposition
forced evictions? Another example of assimilation and corruption in place
It is not my role to question the internal affairs of aboriginal communities, it is
not my territory. Please do not engage me on anymore of this. I demand accountability
of myself & my own people to start with.
I am sick of people putting the spot light in the victims & survivors of genocide,
dispossession, racism and not the perpetrators of this brutal injustices.
My role is to do the right thing by the law of the land (indigenous law) and the law
of my people (indigenous as well)
Land councils and others organisations are infiltrated & contaminated by the system in
power, many sovereign people do not acknowledge them, again they are another white
system imposition & consequences of assimilation
There is approximately 782 aboriginal nations in this continent all with their
distinctive territories, cultures and languages not wonder is confusing for you...
Mostly the common focus is sovereignty you cannot built anything else without it as
the base
Truce will be fine, all cessation of violences, no more white supremacist dominance,
racism, inequalities, injustices, assimilations, death in custody, mandatory
sentencing/ mandatory imprisonment, lack of food, water, poverty, etc, stealing &
poisoning of the land and its people, domestic violence, removal of children, child
abuse , etc...etc
Respect for the law of the land that you are visiting is different than subjugation
Aboriginal culture does not exercise power over
There is not a problem with us , them, others... etc... if there is true respect
I agree that true respect is vital. Had you ever experienced it?
I am a magic-realist not a romantic..........
PS: I would also appreciate if you could spare me of anymore of this, you could use
the library instead, i have enough on my plate trying to survive in a system that
wants to assimilated me, also this is my fourth language and culture.
Regards & Solidarity..............maria
