A message from the Aboriginal Tent Embassy
The Tent Embassy is preparing for their 30th anniversary and is looking
for support in many ways.
An Indigenous artist is available to do paintings and is looking for
donations of acrylic and oil paints, other painting materials, brushes
and canvas and canvas boards.
214 Aboriginal flags will be flow and support is needed for this to be
achieved. People who can make flags, sew them, provide materials etc,
please contact Beth Basnett on 6231 3845 for dimensions etc.
Donations of concrete paints are also required to redo the mural at the
entrance to the site. Beth Basnett (6231 3845) and Ellie Gilbert (6161
6821) are coordinating this project and if you are interested in
participating please contact either of them.
Preparations and planning for the anniversary are ongoing and if you are
interested in becoming involved contact Ellie or Beth or go along to the
Tent Embassy and get involved.
All donations - in cash or in kind can be dropped in to Elder Kevin
Buzzacott at the Embassy at any time.
The Embassy is wholly dependant on the support of people to ensure the
success of its 30th anniversary so if you can assist in any way please
do.
Please pass this message on far and wide!
Regards
Flora
