Hi all,
I've been lurking on this list for a while. I haven't yet tried out
red5, but I am very intrigued about this project. I work at Laszlo
Systems and I'm experimenting with adding streaming audio/video
extensions to LZX. In the upcoming 3.2.1 release, we'll be adding the
SWF video object to the compiler. I'm working on creating a declarative
syntax for writing audio/video applications -- pure LZX and _javascript_
for developers.
I don't have anything to show off yet, but I thought I would introduce
myself, and see if there is anyone else already using (or interested in
using) OpenLaszlo for these kinds of apps.

p.s. In a previous life, I worked at Macromedia and led the first
release of the Flash Communication Server and Flash Player 6 auido/video
features. One of the reasons I came to Laszlo was because I felt that
the LZX language would be ideal for creating communication apps. A few
years later, I'm finally getting around to giving it a try :)
