Hi John,
I don't think that disconnections is a big problem and i think they can be solved out easily. Once the disconnection problem is solved other major bugs might come up which we cannot see now and which will help red5 team to develop a stable 0.5 version.
Besides that I also want to tell that 100+ streams were consuming 24-40% of a P42.8Ghz server. Which is compareable to FCS as it also consumes the same amount of cpu.
So can you please tell me from where i can see the logs for red5.
bye

Thanks for letting us know Nik, this is really one of the first tests anyone's done and reported back on ;)
again, 0.4 is not for production use at all - we've done no stress testing. 0.6 is a version we hope to write applications against for possible production use, so maybe try again then?
THankjs again Nik,

The video worked well but there were to many disconnections when we switch between published streams ie. stop playing a stream and play another stream. Due to reason i have to move the application back to FCS after trying it for 5 min only on Red5I don't know where i can see the logs or from where i can see the reason for disconnections. In FCS we can easily see the reason for disconnections in admin logs or application inspector. Any idea so that we can fix this thing out.Regardsthats good news. thanks!

Moreover increasing the frame rate to a higher side will consume much more bandwidth when it comes back to normal after 2-3 min. There is almost no server side coding required for this and I have tried this same thing with FCS and it works perfectly fine.So it seems to me that there is something that needs to be worked around and taken care of when the playing stream is stopped and played again...but not sure what that is ;-(RegardsI dont think fcs does either, although to be honest im not sure.
Adding keyframes is the job of the encoder normally.
Re: nik, are you using simpleboradcaster and simplesubscribe or code you have written? There is a way to set the keyframe interval I think.
