Hi Saurav,

Great to hear your work will be open source. Perhaps we can get some others involved to help too, only today there was a message from another guy working on RTMP in c on the dev list.
If you would like I can get you commit rights to the red5 repo and you can add along side the java code. Perhaps /osflash/red5/c++/client/trunk. If you would rather have it as another project thats cool too, you just send a request to Aral or John and they will set you up.

Either way best thing to do is sign up to the dev list and ask questions when you run into trouble. Im no c coder but im sure we can still help each other. We will be refactoring much of the rtmp / streaming code this release, as part of that process we should come up with some better docs too.

hi joachim ....

thanks i shall spend some time looking at those docs... these docs
helped me get past the handshake phase... :)

anyways i am still trying to come to terms with some of the terms (pun
not intended :) ) and concepts ... shall again ping the list if I get
stuck...

a few more details:

the way I see it... one use of the C++ client can be to write an
activex control which can immediately publish some images on your
harddisk directory as a live slideshow... that is one app I am very
interested in building...

regards
Saurav
