I have a clearer idea of the factors involved. In the meantime, if I understood correctly, if I try to send an encoded signal that is less than 500Kbps, should that make a difference in terms of delay ie will there be less of an accumulation of extrra frames or whatever?
If the video is at a rate of say 250 and your buffer is 10s and the server side speed is set to 500 in theory it should take 5s of the buffer to fill. This is the theory. I noticed that the first stream to play starts right away, but ones after that have a pause. This is due to the flow system having some room for burst.
Also for my own education is that 500K limit set server-side or client-side? I've look through the source for the ofla_demo and videoconference but so far it has eluded me.
At the moment its setup in the Application class of the ofla demo sample.
