We are using JDK Not sure if that makes a difference too. ======================================================= Another Question we noticed the clients that got disconnected by networks failure were kept by the server as active, somebody already reported this. Was this reviewed on 0.5 ? Couldn't find it on the Tickets Regards Rodrigo O -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Michael Klishin Sent: Martes, 25 de Julio de 2006 07:49 p.m. To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Red5] RED5 Memory requirements per Client Rodrigo Ordonez Licona wrote: > consume 425 Megabytes of RAM, (17mb average per client) Which seems > to be a high number for us. Hi Rodrigo, I just have run a quick testing now. I launched a broadcasting client (2 webcams), a simple app that shares live streams among clients and then launched 25 client applications. It took 26.8 mb of RAM for Red5 and around 17 kb per each client added. Platform : Win XP SP2 JRE: JRE6 Beta 2, running in server mode Red5 : 0.5 RC1 Clients use Flash Player 9.0.16d (debug) Gonna test it more on my Ubuntu box latter -- Michael "Antares" Klishin, http://www.novemberain.com | mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org
