HI Michael,

I got those numbers from the TOP Command on my centos Box,

22950 admin 20 0 694m 465m 12m S 2.0 23.0 14:11.91
/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_07/bin/java -cp red5.jar:conf: org.red5.server.Standalone

We have 2 gig of RAM

To know aprox how many users we used
netstat -an | grep :1935 | wc

We use RED5 0.41
Probably lots of fixes since then also improve memory usage.
We are using JDK Not sure if that makes a difference too.

=======================================================
Another Question we noticed the clients that got disconnected by networks
failure were kept by the server as active, somebody already reported this.

Was this reviewed on 0.5 ?
Couldn't find it on the Tickets

Regards

Rodrigo O

Hi Rodrigo,

I just have run a quick testing now. I launched a broadcasting client (2
webcams), a simple app that shares live streams among clients and then
launched 25 client applications.

It took 26.8 mb of RAM for Red5 and around 17 kb per each client added.

Platform : Win XP SP2
JRE: JRE6 Beta 2, running in server mode
Red5 : 0.5 RC1
Clients use Flash Player 9.0.16d (debug)

Gonna test it more on my Ubuntu box latter
