Hi,
About red 5 Memory USE,
-Avoid Using JDK for production use, it uses a lot more of
memory (probably obvious doh!)
-We changed to JRE 1.5 and lowered memory use a
lot
-ON our Centos 4 Installation (RED5
0.5):
Each additional listener takes up 7 Megabytes
upon connection and lowers later somehow,
12 Users and base take up now 35 megabytes Average 3mb per user We ' ll Try taking stats on during peak
hours.
To avoid the users that get stuck by network problems, we
restart red 5 every night.
So far 0.5 Is much better for streaming, Pause problems are gone, we will do some extra testing on saved FLVs and MP3. Your getting there! Thanks to all The team. Regards Rodrigo O
