Hello Ulusoy,

i have worked with this chatsoftwre (when it was version 3.6 or 3.9 i
think) and i have to tell you that this chatsystem does not use the fms
its build upon a pushpull loadVars object , the p2p filesharing add on
is only a http upload, with later download, i had heard about (times
ago) that darren
would like to make a video chat addon for the chat, if this is finnished
this may now works with FMS but also the demos that i had checked out
straight 5 minutes ago are pure php - mySQL polling.

anyway if u would like to change the way of conectionhandling i think
that would be possible, dont know how much work it will make
talked with andreji (one of the programmers) at that time them where
searchin for a solution which needs no server or virtual server
so i guess them still dont whant to change the connection way by themself.
but as far as i remember the loadVars was handeled in a seperate class,
may its just easy to change it, may its a bunch of work, can remember that
there was also some kind of dependency, doesent remember anymore...

In case of i worked with that chat a while, let me tell you that i would
also like to have a videooption in there but untill all users that
visits the chat
doesent have a 3GHz proccessor with a minimum of 1gb DDR u will be very
lonely in there, because the chat itself(or better those somehow 60
components and 200
movieclips + the smileytextfild eats alot of clients ram if u add video
and audio the chat would be like playing something like quacke via old
analog
Modem(sorry if quacke isent the newest... iam also not the newest).

also the amount of maximum users would lower if u wuld like to install
both on the same machine(that should be a real rootserver no vps).

i think the chat is very cool, and you should surely try if it would
work the way u would like to have it, but i guess you will have a real
bad performance

btw there are several other videochat solutions the most of them cost
about a few hundert up to a few thousend euros or dollars, that has a
better performance
(less components less templates, less design, but working;) but uhm to
make such a thing is easy, have a look at the videochatdemo in red5.

i dont know your budget, but i GUESS(i dont know just guess) u will have
a videochat that works for only 20%-30% site visitors without problems
and will cost you 80$ only for the server per month where you can may
handle maximum of 70 concurent users, is that your goal?
