It looks like at least the inability to seek after the stream ends problem has already had a ticket created here http://mirror1.cvsdude.com/trac/osflash/red5/ticket/161. It has went a couple weeks without much acknowledgment unfortunately. Unless of course you count the "Your site is good. Want air bed?" spam. I'm going to try some things server-side in the app to possibly create a workaround for the problem.

I've never experimented with a rewind button in the manner you mention Dan so this may be a completely terrible idea, but have you tried setting the buffer time to 0 with NetStream#setBufferTime() while the button is held down?--Dan-----------------------------

Hi also for some reason, even with videeo that just plays, if i try to seek back the video will buffer ot the buffer time set, so its been impossible to device something to fast reverse etc so a timer constantly seeks back for how ever long u hold down the button for. While this is happening its trying to rebuffer for each seek that occurs :\
