Hate to butt in but to confirm which java vm you are using to run the app
you can force it.
Eg, in the terminal type "path_to_app" -vm "path_to_jdk1.5"

Java 1.5 is a option in Mac OS X Tiger. If you don't update, Java
1.4.2 is used.
Are you using Java 1.5 in Mac OS X Tiger?
