You can use Spring Classpath or Filesystem resource abstraction with a new
File object:
FileSystemResource fsr = new FileSystemResource(new File("myFolder"));
Then you can use getFile to obtain an underlying File object reference, call
mkdir on it or use createRelative to create resources using paths relative to
this new one
