Sorry I didn't mean the RTP functionality, woops, I meant the JMF;
codec support is poor and outdated. Though they do have APIs for third
party plugins but as yet I couldn't find many people developing them.

The mp3 functionality was for decoding only and was released two years
ago.  Are there any statesments by Sun or third parites regarding
their mulimedia suport?
