Is that true? I know I can look in the code for that probably, but I am still trying to get myself to see how this thing actually works.
I will also take tutorial suggestions at this time. I am reading through most the readme's and documentation that comes with the distribution.

As for the other question, Tomcat or Jetty may be used with the installed server and yes it must be stopped first. To enable Tomcat, a little configuration must be done.. Just uncomment the tomcat section of red5.xml and red5-core.xml and 'comment' the jetty sections of the same files. After this is done just restart the server and you will be using tomcat (Version 5.5.20), I have no plans to port any version older than 5.5. The war version may be used with any version (as far as i know).
