I think there a some difference beetwen your solution and my solution. First, You use a data
connection only (i think), i use a stream connection instead.
Second difference is you want a RED5-FMS connection instead of FMS-RED5 connection.
But i hope that RED5 team can investigate and correct the communication between FMS and RED with
FMS as client of RED5 and RED5 as client of FMS.
I think this features is more important for do RED5 a good alternative to FMS.
Someone think like me ?

Hello,
Yeah there are small bugs when FMS and Red5 are talking to eachother.
I assume your FMS is connecting with Red5? That's also what I am currently using.
I have 14 FMS/FCS servers connecting to Red5 for health monitoring and application tracking (to know which app runs where).
All FMS/FCS machines connect to Red5 when they start but it whould be nice if Red5 could connect to a FMS/FCS machine.
The monitoring application now just waits till all the machines connect.. thats like the other way around ;)
If there is a way to accomplish this i'm very interested.

tested for used with FMS and i have found some bugs. You can see the bugs here:I am more interesting for use the connection FMS-red5 and i think is a good opportunity for RED5 for enter in the businees world. More clients hava FMS butfor scaling his architecture can use RED5, they can change all FMS server to RED5 because they have a lot of Macromedia License, but i can use a mix architecture FMS-RED5 for scaling is a good solutions.MOn 10/31/06, Mondain <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:I assume youre trying to implement an edge / origin type setup? I'm looking for a way to create an RTMP connection with a FCS box. (so;
Red5 needs to connect to FCS..)
Is that possible? If so, how can I do that?
Thanks in advance!
