1. right click, choose settings and make sure your cam is selected. You should be able to see your self. If not, then there's a problem getting your cam for some reason.
2. You don't view your recording with the same sample. Sample recorder doesn't playback the video. You can play the recorded video with the oflaDemo since that's where the Simple Recorder records the flv. Or you can open the FLV in an FLV player.
As for selecting your cam, you can select your cam in the settings, then click that white box to make sure your cam is capturing stuff. When you see your cam working in the settings window, then hit ok, and it should work with the Simple Recorder.
Let me know if it doesn't

my errors sound a little different, unless my expectations are off.
When I try to record, I dont see anything on the screen. Typically
when you record, there is a window that shows what you are recording.
Perhaps it wasnt designed to do that. Also, while I see that a file is
created, I am not sure if the same app is suposed to play it back. I
dont see any play button or other player app that seems like it would
help me play back the recording.
If you could tell me what it's supposed to do that would be helpful in
figuring out what kind of bug (or not) I am seeing.
Thanks
Hank
