Check up what version of Eclipse you use and if it's 3.2.x then check
whether you project is added to current working set (folders with down
arrow icon on panel or down arrow in Project Explorer).

Eclipse may display not all projects in your workspace but just a group
which is not updated when a new project is being imported or checked
out.
