Are you loading the SWF's from a web server (eg, load http://localhost/myswf.swf) or loading them from your computer (eg, double clicking on the SWF's?)
It works through a web server :-)

Then check up Tomcat/Jetty logs
Red5 is running from root (what is not that necessary for port number
1935) but I can't connect with Telnet. Seems that firewall blocks it.
