Thats bizarre i thought this was fixed in trunk ages ago. Try deleting the app persistance directory when restarting , that should prob fix your prob, try creating the SO without persistance. This became a big problem i ended up using setting attributes within the app which is what i needed anyway for checking if the app was running a test broadcast or not.

Hi all, I got this exception in creating new shared object.
I used Red50.6rc1 in Eclipse3.2 in WindowsXPSP2.

[ERROR] 334938 pool-1-thread-4:( org.red5.server.net.rtmp.RTMPHandler.error ) Exception
java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: 0
	at java.lang.String.charAt(Unknown Source)

Seems that it's a bug with SO creation and have nothing to do with your
persistent objects folder.

Please post this to Trac.

P.S. What is weird that I don't have line 572 in RTMPHandler nor have I
onSharedObject event handler...

I use trunk
