Try to compile Red5 (we use 0.6rc1) with JDK and the Run the compiled
Version on the JRE,

Reduced memory needs drastically for US. Pretty stable, and we restart every
night.

Subject: [Red5] Increased CPU load, lots of open sockets, red5 crash

Hello,

First thanks to everybody who made this software possible. Keep up with the
good work!

However, I have tried several versions; 0.5 and many versions of 0.6 which I
have checked out through svn. They all seem to share one anoying error. It
seems that red5 keeps some sockets open, even after the client has gone
away. This leads to increased use of memory and heavy cpu load.
After a while the server just dies away.

I have tried to run red5 on Debian kernel 2.6.14 and 2.4.32. using sun
jdk1.5.0_09 and jrockit. The result is almost the same every time when
tested under different combinations of possibilities. I'm sorry to say this,
but this error makes the red5 quite useless.

Is this error known? Is there a workaround?
I read someplace that this could be a mina problem. Anyone?

Thanks!

Regards,
Marek Rzewuski
