Flash client side actually do not need any "UI components" to connect and playback video. If you mean FLV playback component, it's pretty buggy AFAIK and should work the same for both FMS and Red5 (but may work different, remember, RTMP is propertiary format which was reverse-engineered with no guarantees)
If you need to know how to create client-side apps for Red5, refer to FMS documentation which is quite good.
