Hi there i think i asked this question before, maybe this is the wrong place to ask, we are needing to get a single cam broadcast streaming with smooth framerates to about 10fps and smooth image quality, it seems with any movement above just a talking head with an image quality on the client greater than 80% it will cause frozen frames every 5 seconds. Im not sure if its our server connection, red5, or the flash client optimising for fast movement and its just up to tweaking settings.

Ive noticed it doesnt matter what connection you have ie 512K-1MB upload is the same.

We have a stream publishing at 8fps, 5.5khz audio, keyframe 32, buffer 2 seconds, 192 x 144-320x240 video which is then scaled up on the subscriber to 320x240 using image smoothing features in AS3. I noticed with a buffer size greater than 2 the lip syncing is terrible.

For the video settings motional level is off, favor area is on, video quality 95%. The audio component streams fine so nothing to worry about there.

Let me know what experiences other people have, This is mainly for a group wide live stream subscription, obviouslly for multiple video conferencing the quality / size has to be degraded sadly !
