Download and use the open-source FFmpeg package:

        http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/

Once you've managed to compile and are able to use ffmpeg, you'd do
something like this:

        ffmpeg -i movie.flv -f mov -vcodec mpeg4 -acodec aac podcast.mov

Of course, you could add in lots of other things (like adjusting the video
and audio bitrates - or removing the video portion completely if you just
want the audio) to customize the conversion process - consult the
documentation and experiment on your own.
