I am a rubyist (and ActionScripter, of course) interested in using
Red5 for streaming audio over a couple of Rails sites. Now that Red5
has support for Ruby scripting, I would like to jump in and give it a
try--my pockets aren't deep enough for FMS :(

I am a little unclear as to the significance of Red5's new Ruby
support. Does this mean that I can effectively treat Red5 as a black
box, build my application classes in Ruby, and have them loaded in to
the Red5 server at RunTime?

I watched the video tutorials on flashextensions, and it looked to me
like the process of building Red5 applications was heavily dependent
on the whole Java workflow. Is it possible to use Red5 at this point
knowing only Actionscript 2 and Ruby? If not, I'm certainly willing to
do some learning... if so, are there any coherent guides/docs on the
Red5 workflow when using Ruby scripting?
