org.red5.server.Standalone or something is not found. The problem is
classpath problems I think. If you call red5.sh from the same directory, the
java -jar launcher is able to find red5.jar. If you call it from init.d, it
seemed to get totally lost as to the exact location of red5.jar. If I put
the whole path of the red5.jar, it would launch but shared objects would not
be found after launch?

Anyway, if you're not using shared objects, inside the red5.sh, try put the
full path to /conf/red5.policy and /red5.jar ie put
${RED5_HOME}/conf/red5.policy and ${RED5_HOME}/red5.jar

I'll try and find some time and look at it more carefully.
