you have to call after start().
btw:
During watching the Red5 TV I have seen, that when red5 switches to other
stream in playlist, it hackles - so is there any possibility of prebuffering
next stream?

That works but only after a call to start(), have you not noticed it
will cut the video short 10 seconds before ?
